Infrastructure as Code
Server configuration is managed with Ansible in the hoggar-infra
repository. The bootstrap playbook applies four roles:
ansible-playbook playbooks/bootstrap.yml
| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
common | Common server packages and utilities |
security | UFW, Fail2ban, SSH hardening |
docker | Docker Engine from the official repository |
coolify | Coolify installation and verification |
Ansible is executed from the developer Mac, not from the VPS. Bootstrap is intended to be idempotent.
Ansible is not a backup system
Ansible reconstructs configuration; it does not back up application data. Backups stored outside the VPS are not in place yet.
